In order for you to use Scientific Citations services (the "Service"), such as initiating new disputes about post-publication citations, you must complete a registration form. Scientific Citations collects certain personal information when you register for the Service, including your name, date of birth, contact information (collectively, “identifiable personal information”).
You are encouraged to provide us with non-identifiable personal information once you register for the Service, including your interests. In addition, you may choose to include photos of yourself in your profile. Scientific Citations will not resell your identifiable personal information to third parties. We may, however, aggregate and share generalized data and demographic information about you, such as your age, gender, geographic region, and analytical data describing your use of, and interaction with, any part of the Service, including, but not limited to, third party products, services, sponsored contests, and advertisements.
We Collect Information As You Access And Use The Web Site

- Scientific Citations Personnel: Scientific Citations personnel and authorized consultants and/or contractors may have access to user information if necessary in the normal course of Scientific Citations business.

- Search of Disputes: The email address that you submit upon registration will be searchable by other Scientific Citations users who know you by your email address. This is primarily so that other users can find your disputes through Scientific Citations.
- With Your Consent: Except as noted above, we will contact you when your personal information is shared with third parties or used for a purpose incompatible with the purpose(s) for which it was originally collected, and you will be able to opt out to prevent the sharing of this information.

Please note that we cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information we collect, and you do so at your own risk. Nonetheless, we have implemented security measures we consider reasonable and appropriate to protect against the loss, misuse and alteration of the information under our control.
